I
attended the first reunion of my class (51') sometime in the 1970's. It was
probably the twenty fifth anniversary of our class graduation, but I'm not
certain. As I recall, the reunion was held in The American Legion Hall near Irwinton,
and it was special to see classmates and teachers that I hadn't seen in decades. The second reunion that I attended was held near Milledgeville several
years later. Another class reunion that I attended was held at the
Thompson Cove Restaurant just outside the city limits of Toomsboro which is not far
from the site of the Toomsboro School. The restaurant is owned by jack and
Mary Ivey Dominy Thompson. A couple of years later, another
reunion was held at the same location that included students from the classes of

Earlier Reunions. I've attended three reunions
(2004, 2006, 2008) at the Wilkinson Country
High School near Irwinton, to which all people were invited who attended
or were associated with the Toomsboro School - which closed its doors more than
forty years ago. I thank all of the people who have helped organize and run these
reunions, and it's been such a pleasure seeing and socializing with classmates
and schoolmates. I welcome your comments and corrections, especially as
regards dates and identification of people and the classes to which they
