I was born and grew up in Georgia,
and I (holding the ball in photo at right) am an alumnus of
Toomsboro High
School. I now live
in Virginia, which I adopted as my home several years ago - but I go back to
Georgia several times a year to visit relatives and friends. I retired from
NASA at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, and now spend my time
[among other activities] golfing, flower gardening, traveling, and fooling
around with digital photography. I also enjoy good literature, especially
poetry, and I'm an avid fan of poet
Emily Dickinson who lived from 1830 to 1886.
I live in a townhouse
(photo at left), but don't
remember if I live upstairs or downstairs. I get lost a lot, but nearly always
find my way back. I've had a long affair with poetry and enjoy music, but I can
hardly make a rhyme or hum a tune. I like the New York Yankees and Washington
Redskins, but can't remember which team plays soccer. I'm a charter member of
the Barphyles Softball Team - but am currently on the unaccounted-for list. I
like photography and writing - and know what it's like to be caught without film
in my camera and lead in my pencil.
